Lots of advice about how to lead a country. It does seem like it's trying to teach people how to be dictators, but that doesn't mean it's bad advice.

I would consider this series this book, as well as the entire series one of my all time favorites. the characters are very well-developed, especially the main character, who is funny and relatable, but not so much that its inappropriate at the moment. the plot is really good, and the rising action was pleasantly surprising, leaving me wanting to read the next book in the saga immediately after I had read this one. I also loved the way Rick made Grover, Percy Jacksons best friend, into a lovable character that understands what Jackson is going through and sticks with him through it all. incredible book overall, loved it.

This was a thought provoking story about dealing with how you feel about your body. The heroine was obese all thru school, dealing with all the mean teasing that brings. She lost the weight, made herself into a successful wife and business woman. When she ran into her HS crush, the football hero, she found out that just because you were the popular kid in school didn't mean you didn't have fears and worries - they were just about something other than how you looked. She had a meltdown, but pulled herself together. Very realistic, with some humor, and a satisfying ending.
